I need more time. MUCH more time. Don’t we all? The year feels like its wrapping up quickly, and I still have oh so much to do before that happens!  The Christmas Family Minis are sneaking up on me. Only a few weeks away! Its time to pick your time slot.

October 8

4:00pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm, 5:30pm, 6:00 pm, 6:30pm

October 15

4:00pm, 4:30pm, 5:00pm, 5:30pm, 6:00pm, 6:30pm

****If I notice daylight is running short at 6:30pm, I may have to change the times….sessions would begin at 3:30pm…right now, its fine and I think it will still be fine on the 8th and 15th, but only time will tell. If you think I’m wrong, please tell me! lol. I hate to do that, but such is life!

a new direction

Posted on August 15, 2011

I havent blogged much this year. It seems that stealing a few minutes to blog is impossible these days. So much has happened this year. Sam is two. Avah is almost 5. Briana will be 8 in January. I have 3 growing kids and no free time to prove it! August is almost over and with that comes a new school year. Our table will be full with a second grader and a kindergartener. I imagine Samuel will keep us all extra busy each morning as well. My little sister is about to be a Mommy, and when she returns to work I will be caring for her sweet baby boy. The girls and I are so excited to have a new baby in the house! We are also days away from the beginning of a major renovation of our home. We are doubling the size of this sweet little house. I can not wait to share it all on here. Of course, I have much to catch up on first.

So why am I telling you the story of our 2011 so quickly? Well…because it gives you the reason for this post. The reason for my new direction. This blog has been devoted to my photography business. (and though my empty blog  suggests 2011 has not been busy…I can assure you, it has! I am just SO behind!) I throw bits and pieces of our day to day life on here when I think about it, but other than that…its mostly been here to showcase my beautiful clients!

Ive been doing a bit of thinking. Okay, a lot of thinking. The end of 2011 will be quite busy for us. In order for me to remain somewhat sane, Ive decided to cut back the number of clients I will take on from now until January 2012. I need this time to step back and make sure our day to day family life adapts well to all of the changes coming our way. Ive also decided that this blog should feature more of this day to day life that we speak of!!! I know Ive said in the past that I want to blog more. Especially about my kids. And then I get caught up in this life and the blog suffers. Vicious cycle! Perhaps you would like to hear about our adventures in home education? Id love to share, if its something my readers would enjoy!

With that, Ill leave you with a couple of sweet pictures of my two year old. sigh…two already. More info about session availability and some sweet second birthday pictures to come! Watch for blog updates as well! It is time for a little blog  “housekeeping” I think!

First I want to apologize for my short and sad excuses for blog posts. My lack of writing is not because of a lack of things to write about! That’s for sure! I just have very little time to sit and work. I have so much to share and write about…I just don’t have the time at the moment!!

Luckily, its little sweeties like this that are taking up my free time right now!!! Im not complaining!!!

There are really no words to say other than this tiny baby stole our hearts.

look at that face!!!!

Most of my childhood memories involve family. Parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, and pets. I grew up in an animal loving home. We always had some type of pet. Mostly dogs and outdoor cats. We even had a baby pig named Dexter. Most of our dogs were adopted or strays. I still have a soft heart when it comes to stray animals. I cant visit animal shelters because I will want to cart them all home and love on them. Currently, we have 4 dogs and 4ish cats. I say ish because some of them come and go…but we still love them. Any pets that my siblings, parents, and cousins have are a part of my family as well. We talk about them as if they are children. Yep…we are those kind of people.

My cousin was kind enough to bring her giant baby over to the house for some photography fun. I was so excited to meet Keke…because she is my cousins baby…and that makes her family.

flaky skin. tiny bumps. hairy shoulders. pouty lips. curled bodies.

Dont you love newborns? Each time I photograph a sweet new bundle of joy I remember my own three newborn babies. Rocking them even after they are asleep, kissing their wrinkly forehead, inhaling that addictive newborn smell….dreaming about what they would be like as they grow.

Amber and Jerry, your new baby boy is beautiful. Enjoy him. Thank you for allowing me to spend a few hours with your little man. He was perfect in every way!

This is my favorite from the day. I scored this awesome hat at WC Mercantile. If you have not visited this store…you should. Its wonderful!!!

“Thats enough!”  He said that each time the shutter clicked. So we moved on. I followed him around. Constantly.

Mr. J was alot of fun. We explored the pond for crawfish. We studied a hole in the tree..and his daddy informed me that it was probably a home for a black widow. Great…so glad I knew that!

I had a great time Mr. J! Thanks so much!

Newness

Posted on March 31, 2010

Dont you just love that new car scent? Or the way new clothes smell? How about walking into a brand new house? If I could choose a scent for my new blog…yeah I know…but if I could…it would be one of those three smells! I am beyond beyond thrilled to show off this new blog-site. I have worked extra hard on this! I only have a few more additions that will come over the next couple of weeks. I wanted to wait for it to be perfect and done…but when is anything ever really done? So, with great pleasure, I welcome you to the Brandi Tejeda Photography blogsite. Its all here. All in one. Everything I love about a website and a blog wrapped up in yummy goodness! Enjoy!

And because what good is a post without a picture….a little Sam goodness
